The world 's leading research institute , GfK has just released their report in August 2013 that ended last . From these data , it was reported that ASUS notebook market share in 16 major cities in Indonesia until August 2013 reached 27.1 percent . This entry increased from 18.1 per cent compared with the same period a year earlier .
The report, published by GfK report is similar to that produced by other research institutions that Gartner and IDC that says that for the first time , ASUS has the largest market share in the notebook industry in Indonesia.
Interestingly, from the revenue side , ASUS also managed to become the market leader with 26.1 percent . Revenue also increased compared to the position in August 2012 and in which ASUS only controlled 16.8 percent of revenue in the notebook industry in Indonesia.
'' The increase in revenue as reported by research institute GfK showed that ASUS grow healthy by increasing total sales , as well as keep the company profitable , '' said Juliana Cen Manager of Product Management and Marketing , ASUS Indonesia. '' It also shows that although market conditions are less favorable , but users still believe in the ASUS and the products that we bring to the Indonesian market , '' he said .
Notebook market competition in Indonesia is very strict with the presence of a wide selection of products from leading vendors . This achievement is an achievement that is quite encouraging for the ASUS because the market is currently slow due to weakening of the rupiah against the USD nilati .
