BlackBerry Possible Loss Almost 1 Billion Dollars, Ready to lay off 4500 employees

In line with rumors circulating prior to this news, the BlackBerry has recently announced predictions for the second quarter of 2013 which confirmed the layoff plan over 4500 employees. BlackBerry is estimated to lose about $ 1 billion in the second quarter of 2013 and will be laying off thousands of employees to reduce operating costs in the coming year.

These losses are due to low sales of the BlackBerry Z10. Because the stock is stacked, BlackBerry have to pay more to keep the rest of unsold BlackBerry Z10. To overcome this, the BlackBerry will cut the price down to ground level and the market makes the BlackBerry Z30 as the latest flagship BlackBerry smartphone.

BlackBerry also will reduce its product release schedule to just four models: two models for the lower classes and the two models for the upper class. Moreover BlackBerry will also shift the focus of the general consumer and prosumer to consumer enterprise.

BlackBerry will officially announce its financial statements on 27 September.
