Turns iPhone 5S-made processor Samsung
Apple still requires Samsung, at least for now because that's the Korean manufacturer which produces chip 64-bit "A7" on the iPhone 5S.
This was revealed by the Chipworks website on Friday (20/09/2013) then disassemble the iPhone 5S and found that the "brain" turns smart phones produced by Samsung.
"Our preliminary analysis confirms that the chip is fabricated by Samsung. We will explore more about the production process," said a spokesman for Chipworks, as quoted by ZDNet.
Chipworks suspect Samsung using 28nm fabrication technology Hi-K metal gate for the production A7. This process is also used for octa-core Exynos processor belongs to the Galaxy S4.
The motion co-processor chip in the iPhone 5S M7 constrained by other companies, namely NXP. Camera "iSight" in the phone-RS using Exmor sensor made by Sony.
