Country boy created a tool that can prevent traffic accidents
Indonesian youths re-spawn a discovery that may be useful in the future. The invention is capable of detecting Brainstat called brain waves to determine a person's state of consciousness before driving.
As reported by Reuters (10/9), these findings have been found by a team of Telkom University (Tel-U) Bandung. The technology is also included this competition was apparently successfully won the first prize in the category of e-health mat Indonesia Information and Communication Technology Award (INAICTA) 2013 in Jakarta, Sept. 1.
"This tool is a discovery that confirms the quality of education as well as an incentive for Tel-U to be a 'world class university' in 2017," said the Rector of Tel-U, Prof. Dr.. Mochamad Ashari.
The workings of this very modern tool, which uses brain waves. Waves are captured by Brainstat then displayed in the data that can be read by the driver.
Later, it will be known whether the driver was excellent, drowsiness, concentration, or even stress. This data is then sent via a tablet or mobile phone.
If it found the condition in which the driver was excellent in driving, then a warning will appear. Moreover, it could be BrainStat asked the family to call the driver to stop immediately.
"So, driving safety will be maintained, either by car, bike, and even airplanes," said Dody Main Qari, a lecturer who is also the developer Brainstat.
The tool itself is the fruit of the work of the faculty and students of Informatics Telkom University / Tel-U made starting 2011. The lecturer named Dody Main Qari, with students Anggunmeka Luhur inscription, Boni Justin Prabowo, Umar Ali Ahmad, Gilang Kusuma Jati, and Guntoro.
