We've heard that the Galaxy Note 3 uses Super AMOLED screen with PenTile arrangement similar to those used on the Galaxy S4, and today Samsung has confirmed this to the public via the website AppDated. Technology is PenTile matrix pixel arrangement on the screen, each pixel consists of only two subpixels, in contrast with most smartphone screens that rely on three subpixels (RGB) in it.
PenTile technology has advantages and disadvantages. The surplus is the PenTile screen type levels lower battery consumption and also more durable because of the number of pixels less blue (blue pixels on the screen is not so efficient OLED). To display a weakness is not too sharp, but usually not too aware of the user's eyes.
