Sure Lenovo HP Slide in European Computer Markets
Computer manufacturer Lenovo sure can shift rival Hewlett-Packard (HP) of the peak position in the European market in 2015 as the company began work on the line of tablet computers and smart phones. European markets, Lenovo said President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Gianfranco Lanci, is believed to have a major opportunity for Lenovo.
"Within the next 18 months, we could be the leader in EMEA. So we expect in early 2015," Lanci said on the sidelines of the IFA exhibition in Germany as reported by Bloomberg.
Lanci then said, Lenovo's market share based research firm Gartner Inc. records. (Gartner) by HP is not too far in the second quarter of this year in the EMEA market. Gartner said Lenovo's market share reached 12% and managed to surpass Acer, while 18% HP.
Lenovo, Lanci said, hoping to get a 5% market share in the segment of tablet computers on the market this year EMEA and 10% in 2014. He targeted segment can be as successful computer tablet computers in Europe in two years. However Lanci admitted it took time to develop the segment of tablet computers and smart phones.
"Not like computers, tablet computers and smart phones require an investment. We strive to create a balance in all segments," he added.
