SEOUL - LG Electronics expects to sell approximately a thousand TV sets Ultra high definition (HD) for the Taiwan market in 2013. Company recently revealed sales of 55, 65, and 84 inches for the TV market in Taiwan.
Reported by Digitimes, Monday (09/09/2013), the official price of the third LG TV product with a variety of screen sizes that have a similar price with high-end TV sets made by Sony. TV 55 inch screen size is reportedly sold in that price range USD5.045 to USD5.717.
South Korean company is expected to sell a total of 200 thousand TV in the Taiwan market during 2013. The company also saw a decrease in sales related to the purchase of approximately 7-8 percent of LCD TV, where the TV purchase subsidies coming to an end, which is issued by the local government.
Overall, TV shipments in Taiwan seems to have flat growth in 2013. The company hopes to be able to release a 55-inch OLED TV in the Taiwan market in the first half of 2014.
