LONDON - Scientists or philosophers in the UK think that the catastrophic event could destroy the world . They compose ' doomsday list ' of disaster phenomena that could pose a threat to civilization and even lead to the extinction of the human species .

This association aims to present a list of politicians and the public related disasters that could threaten the future of the world .

Astronomer Lord Rees led initiatives that included Stephen Hawking , scientists ' controversial ' and Cambridge cosmologist and Lord May , former government chief scientist . Scientists are also joined by philosopher Huw Price, economist Partha Dasgupta and evolutionary genetics expert George Church .
