DoCoMo will sell iPhone
Japanese mobile phone company NTT DoCoMo giant plans to sell the iPhone, a few days before the launch of Apple's latest product for the popular smart phone.
NTT DoCoMo is in the middle of final stages of negotiations with Apple after losing millions of customers from domestic competitors are preparing to pass in Japan, a leading business daily Nikkei reported, as quoted by AFP.
DoCoMo will start selling the iPhone early on September 20, another Japanese daily reported, Asahi.
Japanese gadget company is trying to reverse the years of their losses amid surging popularity of the iPhone, which helped spur the growth of the business two competitors KDDI and SoftBank.
Docomo which controls about 42 percent market share, losing more than 3.5 million customers since 2008 from SoftBank to sell iPhone in Japan.
Apple itself is struggling to regain market share from Samsung with its Galaxy smart phone sector now dominates the multibillion-dollar.
Apple even now targeting China by holding a special event in Beijing a day before the launch of the new iPhone in San Francisco. Apple rumored agreed to supply the iPhone through China Mobile is the company's biggest seller in the gadget world.
This makes the iPhone sales news DoCoMo shares rose 0.62 percent, while Apple's market share in the world by the sector jatuh14, 2 percent in the second quarter ago. Instead, Samsung rose 31.7 percent, AFP quoted U.S. technology company, Gartner.
