Young students from Russia is ready to take part in the World Robot Olympiad to be held in Jakarta , Indonesia , on 15-17 November 2013 .
Launch Russia Beyond The Headlines ( RBTH ) Asian , 4 September 2013 , the Russian robot team coach Oleg Gornov said his country was ready to compete in this event and has set up two teams with different age categories .
" I'm glad the two teams from the Yekaterinburg region elected to represent the Russian national team . Our junior team was represented by Artem Ismagilov and Vladimir Starikov . While Yegor Nedorostkov represented the senior team and Daniil Shostin , " said Gornov .
Russian junior team has prepared a robot batik makers . This robot has the ability to choose a color and use it to create a pattern on the fabric mimic traditional drawing technique called batik .
" Robot made by this young student only takes 15 to 20 seconds to complete the entire operation , " said Gornov .
While in the senior team category , Russia has made a robot that is able to cross an area called Komodo Island without destroying any eggs dragons .
" This robot is able to distinguish between red and blue balls , so as to avoid the eggs that exist in an area . Design is simple , but we rely on the technical capabilities of the robot , " said Gornov .
Russian team will also take part in the nomination creative with preparing young learners software experts to create a robot that is able to maintain and protect the UNESCO heritage site .
