Apple's Trade-In Program Revolving Ready, Long Products Thrown into Developing Countries

Apple reportedly is currently training for his plan to conduct an iPhone trade-in program which will soon be launched. With a trade-in program, the old model of iPhone owners will be able to exchange their handset to the latest iPhone products.

According to Techcrunch, the program was being piloted at several stores owned by Apple. The stores are not only preparing yourself internally but have started to offer trade-in to its customers over the past few weeks. Some stores even Apple is rumored to have a trade-in process for several times a day.

To make a trade-in, the first time Apple employees will conduct research on the value of the old iPhone customers. Old handset which is in normal condition will be valued in accordance with the condition range from $ 120-200 for iPhone 4 and 4S 16GB and about $ 250 for the 16GB iPhone 5 in good condition. This value is lower than the value at trade-in sites such as Gazelle, Glyde or NextWorth.

After the specified value, the customer will receive a gift card that can be used to buy a new handset. Trade-in program is only applicable if customers intend to buy a new handset and can not only intended to obtain gift-card only.

The old handset will be saved by the Apple store and is expected to be sent to other places such as the market in developing countries, or to refurbish or resell elsewhere.
