Chance of native Earth life from Mars

Investigators were collecting evidence to suggest, life on Earth actually came from Mars that were taken by a meteor. An oxidized form of the element molybdenum is crucial to the origin of life are found on the surface of Mars for a long time.

"However, the element is not found on Earth," said Steven Benner of the Westheimer Institute for Science and Technology in Space Florida was quoted as saying on Thursday (29/8).

According to him, only when it becomes oxidized molybdenum to be able to influence and shape early in life. Form of molybdenum is not there in the beginning when the earth was formed. Because three billion million years ago, Earth's surface has little oxygen, but not so with mars.

"This is one piece of evidence that memerlihatkan life forms came from Mars using Martian meteor than to start on this planet," he added.

Organic compound is a basic ingredient of life. However, this compound has a little 'help' to become life. For example, heat energy or light soup of organic molecules can transform into the form of tar substance.

When it comes oxidized molybdenum and add a another element called boron which then helps the organic matter into life. "Analysis of recent Martian meteor memerlihatkan, no boron on mars. We thus believe that the oxidized molybdenum was also there."
