's board of directors has formed a special committee to discuss the
strategic steps to be taken in order to determine the future of
BlackBerry . Indonesian BlackBerry parties expressed readiness to any possibility .
BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins joined this special committee with other directors , such as Timothy Dattels , Barbara Stymiest , Richard Lynch , and Bert Nordberg . Financial institutions JPMorgan Chase & Co. will act as financial advisor BlackBerry .
Managing Director BlackBerry Indonesia Maspiyono Handoyo said , there are four possibilities to be taken if the board of directors of the discussion is completed.
First , do not do anything strategic move and resume the original plan , and second , doing strategic line which may be working with other companies in terms of licensing patents and applications ; Third , formed a joint venture , and the fourth is to sell the company .
Whatever the decision later , Maspiyono said Indonesian BlackBerry to come with the board decision and stay focused selling its products in Indonesia. " We as soldiers will follow all the steps taken by the leaders , " he told KompasTekno in Jakarta , Friday ( 23/08/2013 ) .

According to BMO Capital Markets financial company , assets of patents , software , and network , each of which could be worth 1 billion U.S. dollars , while the BlackBerry hardware business unit is only worth 800 million U.S. dollars .
