BlackBerry BBM Will Split

WATERLOO - will separate the BlackBerry messaging service BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) became a subsidiary. This is done to increase the value of those services.

Reported by the WSJ, Wednesday (28/08/2013), the subsidiary will be called BBM Inc.. This signaled that the BlackBerry trying to map the fuel as a valuable asset towards the company sells.

BlackBerry itself has deployed a team of executives to BBM and is working on a number of new services for BlackBerry users, such as video chat.

In May, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thorsten Heins said BlackBerry BBM will be released to another platform and will compete with messaging applications such as WhatsApp and cross-platform WeChat that began to erode the popularity of fuel.

So far, BBM has 60 million users. This is much smaller than that WhatsApp users reached 300 million.

BlackBerry BBM service also will announce the Channel to strengthen its services. Then, according to sources, a company based in Canada that will also prepare the fuel for the desktop version
